NEWS! - Aircraft Released : Eagle 315 HP Twin Prototype V2.1 by Eagle Flight Labs

The one thing that is the biggest attribute in the X-Plane Simulator. Is that you can experiment...   or be experimental with an aircraft design. It allows you to try out ideas, aerodynamic ideas, on if your wonder contraption would actually fly, then refine and change it to do so, in so creating a vehicle of your own choice, Burt Rutan would love it.

One design was a cross between the Nautilus and a Beechcraft from Eagle Flight Labs. Yes it is an unusual design, but an interesting one.

The developer uses a design basis of a retro-style GA airplane. While at a first glance the Eagle is a simple aircraft, but over 500 hours of meticulous development and flight testing have gone into making the Eagle 315 HP Twin Prototype a feature-rich aircraft, oriented for training in both VFR and IFR conditions. Thanks to its high performance flight model, wide view cockpit windows, large instruments, and specific panel layout, pilots can easily focus on the flight, and allowing a wide range of uses.

This v2.1 is what you could call the X-Plane 12 update, you could fly the Eagle in X-Plane 12 from the version's introduction, but here the focus is on redefining the flight model to the better X-Plane 12 aerodynamics. and a few other tweaks are added in as well.

Version 2.1 - June 6 2024
- Tuned flight model with much better stability and controllability at low speed
- Added vortex generators on wing tips, at ailerons, to prevent early stall
- More effective ailerons and greater roll stability at low speed
- Vortex airfoil at ailerons with retarded stall (main wing partially stalled first)
- Differential ailerons to reduce conter yaw
- More effective elevator control
- Tuned trim for more precise controls at low and high speed
- Tuned COG position
- Fixed internal accessibility to keys and transponder
- Polished 3D model with additional interrior and exterior details
- Size and position of landing gear tuned
- Fix the oil temperature dial
- Pilot is male, woman went to back-seat
- Sound improvements: switches and wind (interior/exterior)
- Check list plates added (2 pages, Before T/O, start and normal procedures)
- Push buttons and engine starters control and texture improved
- Interior and exterior 3D model details tuning and improvements
