Stephen Posted March 20 Report Share Posted March 20 NEWS! - X-Craft's updates X-Plane 12 developer timetable Developer X-Craft's have done an announcement on their up and coming developments for the X-Plane 12 Simulator. Noted are four developments in order; E-Jets v1.1.0 update, ERJ Family (all new) for X-Plane 12, Lineage 1000 Business Jet variant and a "Surprise" Project to celebrate X-Craft's 10th Anniversary in the Simulator. E-Jet Family The release of the E-Jet Family this time last year 2023, leapt this talented developer house into the big time. Huge quality and a massive feature list, placed the X-Plane 12 E-Jet into the higher echelon of releases, it all also came with a price to match, but you more than got your value's worth in this trendsetter design for XP12. We have had already a few updates for the E-Jet, but the next one is now noted in v1.1.0 There are coming new features. Most notably, "FMS Speed". Which is in that the FMS Speeds change based on the phase of the flight automatically. Added also is a "Steep Approach" system for the E170 and E190. (I.e. London City Airport, where the approach is 5.5°, almost double the usual 3°), and ILS Autotune will automatically select the correct NAV frequency into the radios as you approach the airport and switch from FMS to ILS at the right time automatically. The update will of course be also full of fixes and bug chasing. ERJ Family for X-Plane 12 The next aircraft due for the expansive X-Plane 12 update is the ERJ Family. Higher Quality and features will match the E-Jet Family here, also probably the price, but in reality you won't care as it will be so very good and match the future proof E-Jet. Testing is already ongoing, with 10 new real world ERJ pilot's doing a lot of in depth work to finalise the family for release, expect middle 2Q, maybe in a month or two. Lineage 1000 Business When the E-Jet Family was released, it was missing the "Lineage" Business jet variant. It was expected before Christmas 2023 (as a free addon, if you bought the Full "E-Jet Family Package"), but the Lineage Bizjet will also be available as a separate purchase, with the price expected to be the same around US$75 for the single choice variant. Development (in Progress) images have been released by X-Crafts. Obviously a "Work in Progress", and an animation by X-Craft's shows the detail of getting realistic materials to look "well realistic".... Special Project To celebrate X-Craft's ten year anniversary milestone. X-Craft's have decided to gift the community something great, and been working on a side project that will be free for the whole community! That is if you sign up to their Not-A-Newlsetter website.
