  1. News! - Released : VVVD - VAN DON International Airport, Vietnam by Taimodels Now you don't get a lot of payware releases from Asia, but I don't think there was ever before a release from Vietnam for X-Plane. That has certainly got to be an interesting destination. And the airport is positioned near the famous ha long bay, which is UNESCO world heritage site. Located on the coast of Quảng Ninh, Van Don International Airport covers an area of 325 ha (800 acres) and contains one single runway: Runway 03/21: 3,600 m × 45 m (11,811 ft × 148 ft) with
  2. Translation: Any idea when this will be written for plan X 11.30b4? or even 11.26 stable? I really need this to be VR ready for me to buy this. It also needs to be integrated with the different flight modeling techniques of the x-plane 11 to make it 100%. Or am I too ready for that? To be honest nobody knows what conex (developer) is doing at the moment? his Bell 407 has been updated to XP11, but most of his helios are now seriously out of date? the best link is too this thread: The Unofficial FAQ for XP10 DreamFoil Creations AS350 B3+ in XP11
  3. My role as a reviewer is to review as a third-party and without prejudice. A purchaser has the right to expect a product of quality, performance and an appropriate level of accuracy and quality for their financial investment. Finally I would never reject a developer's comment, or reasonable doubt.
  4. The idea of reviewing is to point out the positives and the negatives, or like in this case the obvious. If you don't then the developer will just continue on going along their merry way and not improving their product or skills. Most times I do draw up a list of issues and send it to the developer as that is my job, in the fact of making the product get the best chance of good sales. But if the developer ignores your comments or has a reason for an action then that is fine, but some developers can be simply very bull headed about their work... our goal is always the purchaser. That said in th
  5. News! - Update : Toliss Airbus A319 v1.5.2 This is an update to bring the (Baby Bus) Airbus A319-100 by ToLiSS up to the same configuration and complete the updates to the same level as the ToLiSS A321. Changelog list (below) is simply HUGE!. Changes from build 1250 (V1.5.1) to build 1299 (V1.5.2) Major new features: - Option to use imperial units for FMGS, weights
  6. News! - Released : ESKN - Stockholm Skavsta Airport by MM Simulations MM Simulations have released their version of Sweden's Stockholm Skavsta Airport. Even if the actual airport is situated 100 kilometres (62 mi) southwest of Stockholm? But that should not take away a lot from the scenery, as any Scandinavian country is a worthwhile destination. Features: Accurately modeled terminal and interior Custom night lighting Custom parking positions matching with real life Custom surroundings

  8. Scenery Review : MYNN - Lynden Pindling International Bahamas by RWY26Sim Lynden Pindling International Airport, known as LPIA, was formerly known as Nassau International Airport (1957–2006), and MYNN is the largest airport in the Bahamas and the largest international gateway into the country. It is a major hub for Bahamasair and Western Air and is located in western New Providence island near the capital city of Nassau. The airport is named after Lynden Pindling, the first prime minister of the Bahamas and the airport is located about 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) west of the city centre
  9. News! - X-Crafts show new E-Jets Family renders There is always debate around of what developers should develop, some developers create different and varied aircraft, but a few stay on the same designs and focus just on that design.... a good thing or a bad thing? Like I said it is debatable. X-Crafts have focused a lot on the Embraer series of E-Jets, and we are going back as far as August 2014 (announced as early as May 2013) with X-Crafts release of their first E-Jet in the ERJ 195LR. Since then there have a lot of numerous updates to this basically dat
  10. News! - Scenery Release : LGSM Samos International Airport by Skyline Simulations Skyline Simulations have released another European airport after Gibraltar, this time of Samos in the Greek Islands. Samos is a Greek island in the eastern Aegean Sea, south of Chios, north of Patmos and the Dodecanese, and off the coast of western Turkey, from which it is separated by the 1.6-kilometre (1.0 mi)-wide Mycale Strait. Note this scenery is a big 6.8Gb file (3.84Gb Download), so it does take up fair bit of storage space. Features: UHD Custom
  11. Did I do that!... yes I did, dumb and dumber, shows how long it has been out of the water.... actually it didn't make much difference as I ran it again, rudders up? This is at the final set of buoys, still only nudging 60 knts?

  13. Scenery Review : Banff National Park UHD by Frank Dainese and Fabio Bellini Some people never seem to go to bed... just weeks after their amazing K2 - Karakorum 3D, Frank Dainese and Fabio Bellini have now released another epic scenery that covers the Banff National Park in Western Canada. Banff National Park (French: Parc national Banff) is Canada's oldest national park, established in 1885. And is located in Alberta's Rocky Mountains, and situated 110–180 kilometres (68–112 mi) west of Calgary, Banff encompasses 6,641 square kilometres (2,564 sq mi) of mountainous te
  14. News! - Scenery Release : LSZS - Engadin Airport by MXI A mostly Turkish focused developer has changed countries to do a scenery in Switzerland, or specifically LSZS-Engadin Airport (as known locally as Samedan Airport). Engadine is a long high Alpine valley region in the eastern Swiss Alps in the canton of Graubünden in southeastern Switzerland and situated only 5 km from St Moritz. At an elevation of 1,707 metres (5,600 ft), it is the highest airliner airport in Europe (with Courchevel being the highest for STOL aircraft only). It is also considered one of the most
  15. Yes I do list all computer specifications, plugins and used sceneries (or aircraft if it is a scenery review) at the bottom of the review unless it is an update or news item? BTW You missed the FlightFactor A320U, massive hit is that one...
  16. I will gladly take that 10fr, for what I get in return, I think there is certainly more efficiency to come yet. There are preset conditions to set the settings page that work really well, and tuning is actually not that hard to get what you want, again the trick is not to be too greedy in the sliders, here less is more.
  17. Yes but we look in the context of the scenery out of the box, options are just that in options, and no the floating bridge details are not in the manual, I checked?
  18. Your points are absolutely valid, and that is why we don't use the default ATC, annoying as well as it is a significant aspect of flying, no doubt Laminar have dropped the ball here, as that ATC system was introduced way back in XP10, which is now two complete version ago... However Laminar have been working on a completely new AI ATC system for years (four actually), and we expect a debut in X-Plane12. But to show how hard it is to get it right, no 3rd party have done a decent ATC system either?
  19. Let us be clear, the Orbx ortho is an addon, not the default textures... so it is not an issue as the scenery should fit within the default imagary, if the developer wants to add in extras to fit the payware then that is fine, but the default should be the default or the phototextures need to blend in correctly... personally anyway I don't like the dark photo images that these textures create, they are not realistic and make the scenery look dark and unrealistic.
  20. News! - Update : KTPA - Tampa International Airport v2.1 by VerticalSim VerticalSim have updated their KPTA Tampa International Airport scenery to v2.1. The changes are mostly a retexturing of the terminals and buildings and also a switch to the more efficient .dds file system. 22. Plugin Updated : xEnviro v1.16 (v1.15) by Dark Space It is back! Yeah... Well it never really went away, but it did for me. This Environmental Engine is in context the only weather application to have if you want totally realistic weather (sort of) in the X-Plane Simulator, but after nine boring months of X-Plane11's dull bland weather system, I will take anything that xEnviro will deliver. I was already bouncing between the buggy v1.13 and the very old v1.07 versions of xEnviro before, but with Vulkan unsupported by the xEnviro plugin application, and as I entered t
