NEWS! - Scenery Released : LFNA-Gap-Tallard, France by FSX3D FSX3D has made a splash in X-Plane 12 over the last few months with some interesting Corsican and French scenery releases. First was LFKC -CALVI - Sainte-Catherine Airport in Corsica, that was followed soon by another Corsican scenery in LFKF-Figari 16th March. For their next release, FSX3D has move to mainland France and Gap-Tallard aerodrome, located in the town of Tallard 12 km south-southwest of Gap in the Hautes-Alpes (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region). Gap Tallard airport is at an elevation of 1,966 feet (599 m) above mean sea level. The primary runway is designated 03/21 and has a paved surface which measures 965 by 30 metres (3,166 ft × 98 ft). There is also a parallel grass runway measuring 700 by 80 metres (2,300 ft × 260 ft) and paved strip measuring 443 by 10 metres (1,453 ft × 33 ft). The Héliport Aérodrome de Tallard is also part of the scenery. NEWS! - Scenery Released : LFKF -Figari, Corsica XP12 by FSX3D Only a week or so ago, prominent Flight Simulator 2020 developer FSX3D released their first X-Plane 12 scenery, this was LFKC - Sainte-Catherine Airport on Corsica. Here is already another Corsican scenery released from FSX3D in LFKF -Figari, Corsica XP12. Located in Figari, near Porto-Vecchio (20km) and Bonifacio (15km), this aerodrome is open to traffic national and international commercial flights, scheduled or not, private aircraft, instrument flights and sight flights. Making it the third largest airport in Corsica after the airports of Ajaccio and Bastia1. In 2016, the airport served 639,916 passengers (now over 700,000), representing an increase of 9.2% compared to 2015. NEWS! - Scenery Released : LFKC -CALVI Corsica XP12 by FSX3D Prominent Flight Simulator 2020 developer FSX3D has released one of their most detailed and interesting sceneries for X-Plane 12. This is LFKC - Sainte-Catherine Airport on Corsica. The FSX3D developer has already released a large number of French related sceneries for the MSFS platform, hopefully more will be converted, then follow over to the X-Plane platform. Calvi – Sainte-Catherine Airport is an airport located 6 km southeast of Calvi, a commune of the Haute-Corse department in France, on the island of Corsica. The airport is managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bastia and Haute-Corse, and In 2013, the airport registered the passage of 302,672 passengers. Calvi-Sainte-Catherine is an international airport, and as such, it hosts the services of the Air and Border Police and those of Customs. The airport is not open to night traffic. Calvi is located on the northwest coast of the island of Corsica, 95 km (59 mi) from Bastia and 24 km (15 mi) from L'Île-Rousse. It is the fifth-largest commune in Corsica; however, the arrondissement is the smallest. Overall it is a great destination in the central Mediterranean Sea, between Spain and Italy. All is well value priced at a reasonable US$14.99.
