  1. I like the added realism provided by World Traffic 3.5 but it does have some interesting quirks. I notice one of your photographs shows Korean Air in mirror image; I find the occasional Qantas aircraft with the same look. I also see aircraft disappear down the tunnel when using taxiway C at YSSY instead of remaining on the 'flyover' part. They do reappear on the other side! ATC is also interesting with a lot of departure and arrival commands asking for heading changes of 2, 3 or 4 degrees and flight level changes to unusual levels. When flying out of a busy airport I turn down the saturation level. My first flight out of Heathrow using World Traffic was a lesson in itself. With 70% traffic volume dialed in there was still more than a dozen aircraft ahead of me waiting for take off clearance. I noted that if I clicked 'enter' to notify Tower I was ready for departure I was given immediate clearance and told to taxi into position. That meant sliding through all the other aircraft in the queue which sort of destroyed the realism. None of this is a complaint but merely observations from my first week of using it. World Traffic is well worth the money and as an example, anyone concerned about coping with a VATSIM flight World Traffic will find it useful in building confidence. It adds to the workload and if you follow the ATC calls it will certainly test your ability to manage the systems of your chosen aircraft. Add your own response to the ATC call and I believe you have a worthwhile learning tool. A comprehensive and very useful review, Stephen. Thank you. Paul
  2. I had the privilege of owning a late model Cessna340II for a few years back in the late 80s and early 90s. We flew it all around Australia with never an issue and having a chance to 'fly' one again after all this time was too tempting to resist. The review posted by Stephen is excellent so I won't try to add any detail to it. You would think after almost 1000 hours in such an aircraft I'd have everything still in my mind but it took a while to catch-up. Let me simply say that after a few start-ups using my own checklist and manual I found the whole experience quite realistic. Switches and some electronics in slightly different locations to my aircraft but we didn't have the benefit of GPS and I also had a dedicated WX radar screen with a back-up. The Cessna 340II is a 'slippery' aircraft and the performance this download provides is reminiscent of the real thing. As an example, don't even contemplate bleeding-off airspeed on mid to short final. Not going to happen. All-in-all, Carnado did a good job with this. My wife being my wife, we kept our aircraft immaculately clean but I do like the 'worn' look in the Carenado model. Very realistic when I think back to the other two C340s I flew back in the day.
