Thank you for your wonderful review. It helped me to decide to buy this challenging but fun WWII aircraft. As Major Kong mentioned, it is a challenging plane to get off the ground and doesn't do anything very fast! The manuals provided are really helpful in setting manifold pressures, flaps, prop settings, Turbos, Cowl Flaps etc. And a very long paved runway!! I have had some success in climb out using some nose up trim.
Now, in 2021 the only frustration is that there is no sound. Evidently they used DreamEngine and changes to MacOS have somehow inactivated that(born out by failures to load in the X-Plane log files. Sadly Virtavia is not easy to reach and I'm hopeful that someone in forums will help make sound active again.
But this is a fun plane and one I will keep using regardless.
