Sorry for the Necro here, but I was recently thinking about the same thing and went with the 787. I can pretty safely say that I made the right desicion. The 787 may not be perfect, but it is eons ahead of the a350 in both mechanics, graphics, and active development, with a lower price to boot. I'd highly recommend it between the two.
