  1. Hello (again),

I want to fly some medium to long routes, and my choices are the JD330 and FF777, because they are within my 60 dollar budget.

As you said before, the 777 will probably work with my specs. I asked JAR wether it would work. He gave me a trial key, and it worked quite well on my system.

So, I'm looking between the two, and wondering which one is better.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Well, I was made reluctant by this from Almdudler wrote above (especially the undelined by me):

last critic is the lack of performance variability on approach. i have flown this plane as a cockpit observer in the caribbean,

and i can tell you: base-to-final approaches are aggressively banky and steepy due to  the special terrian this plane operates.

Short approaches are this plane's thing.

But this virtual product does not include any of these parameters, it is not slowing down when it should, and it does not speed up when it should.

    Plz advise

well... i've never flown a real twin otter, so can't be 100% sure. don't know how the plane is in real life, but true, sometimes slowing down is a bit annoying. however, it's still a very cheap payware, only 30 bucks. probably worth it, depends on wether you are looking for 99% systems and fully accurate physics, or just a pretty good plane that has most systems simulated and good for regular ops.

  3. I think that it is worth the price of 30 bucks. It's not too 'study level', as in it's so realistic that you can learn the actual aircraft from using it in the sim. But many functions and features are implemented, sound are not as good, but overall i think that this plane is worth the 30 bucks, if you'd like to have a nice aircraft with around 70-80% of the systems, many features and menus for a cheap price. recommended for the price.

go for it! just the sounds are a bit 'meh'.

edit: also the frames  are pretty good, with 1536 mb of vram (not using my external GPU),  I get 20-25 fps in default airport scenery, around 15 fps in heavy freeware sceneries like Mister X.

edit again: and you can land at short runways like lukla and tffj.

  4. probably one of the last questions from me– should I get the a350 or upgrade the 777 to the extended? I really love the 777, especially the freighter and -300ER, so that would make sense to upgrade it. On the other hand,  a new aircraft would be nice too, and the a350 also sounds quite good to me. so what do you reccomend? a 25 dollar upgrade or a 50 dollar new plane? thanks!!!

50% love it and 50% hate it, personally I don't think it is too bad, the core of the issue is that the developer not renowned for doing any updates? so the aircraft tend to drift into disrepair.

rwdesigns is known for doing quite nice aircraft, but the updates are not too common, thats for sure (or at least for their a330, it's quite nice). thanks!

NO, it isn't? The user had, had effects on by using the rain effects, when he turned them off and made them equal and they were exactly the same, it is fundamentally the same aircraft just a little longer...  different users have different setups that effect their frame rate, plus in most cases they don't know what they are actually doing, then react and basically broadcast crap. As a reviewer we test everything in a set, set of conditions to get the right results, we mostly always ignore these wildcard idiots and their wild statements. Framerate is basically different to everyone in X-Plane on your system set up.

    oh ok, thanks!!!

Nothing between them as they are basically the same aircraft...

but i heard that the a321 has 20% better fps than the a319?

    on reddit ppl say this:

"The frame rate is about 20% better for me in the A321 than in the A319, you might want to bare that in mind."

"Yea I'm not sure how Toliss did this. I get higher framerate in the a321 than the default 747."

    is this true? thanks!!!
