Behind the Screen : February 2023
Underwhelming is a word I use for XP12 - be interesting to have been a 'fly on the wall' during the meeting which decided the release. Having been a pilot for most of my life, I realize the sim is simply close but no cigar but I do really enjoy making screenshots. With XP11 the rendering was good enough to only require simple edits to make it more presentable - now, with '12' the edits are bordering on surgical to overcome the rendering glitches. Don't get me wrong, I'll never go with MSFS but I'd sure like Laminar to get a handle on this and maybe talk to the customers a bit more.

NEWS! - xEnviro updates to v1.17
Since it appears that XP12 "upgrades" are a fairly effortless source of developer revenue (excepting Thranda), buyers are a little bashful about shelling out when they already have the XP11 version. Until 'new' and different models appear to attract sales, these cosmetically enhanced for full price efforts won't draw much attention.

Behind the Screen : September 2022
A nicely balanced review. Personally, it all hinges on how much/many of my XP11 investments will be useable in the new version. I avoid default scenery as much as possible so what they've improved is relatively unimportant and I tend to create my own ambiance with shader plugins so will continue to wait and watch.

Aircraft Review : Maule M-7-235B Project XP12 by vSkylabs
Am I misunderstanding or is there truly no directional control with rudder pedals. Airplanes don't have twist grips for that. Mr Maule took the Piper Pacer idea to new heights mostly by adding horsepower. Years ago I flew an M3 with a 220 Franklin and it was quick. They've added lots of mods since but, like the Huskey, too heavy to be a real bush plane.

NEWS! - Thranda Design releases Cessna U206G Stationair DGS series
Thranda's "NoJoe" likes to post teaser shots prior to release and the 'Stationair' thread ran to about eleven pages before enthusiasts certified it would be a C206. Developer/User back and forth like this is how we all stay happy.

Aircraft Review: Piper PA-28-235 Charger / Cherokee 235 by AeroSphere
Back in the day, I flew a '235' before it become a 'Charger' and 80/87 was still available. Best of the Cherokees.

Whatever happened to Laminar?
As you say, XP11 is running well but, once my appetite was whetted with some of Laminar's new and improved features for XP12, my little anticipation clock started the mental countdown. Lack of status information and release date has tended to curb my enthusiasm but, rest assured, never MSFS.

Whatever happened to Laminar?
August first and not a shred of evidence they still exist.

Aircraft Review: Airbus A300 and A310 by iniBuilds
Don't know about you gents but the portability of current XP11 aircraft to XP12 is going to be a potential make or break for me - can't afford to buy them again.

Aircraft Review: Airbus A300 and A310 by iniBuilds
I received an email for the flash sale(s) and took advantage - see they've become partners in the MSFS group which could be the end of their XP endeavors.

Plugin Review : ProCam XP by Aerosoft
After reading your report versus the "manual", one wonders if 'they' realize how much this thing does. Now that you've provided this excellent 'how, what, when, and where', I feel obligated to give it a shot. Bottom line - how handy is it after all the 'to and froing' required to get it going?
