Stephen Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 NEWS! - Scenery Updated : KLAX - Los Angeles International HD 2.0 by ShortFinal Designs Mister-X is back! Here is a significant update to the ShortFinal LAX scenery to v2.0, and full X-Plane 12 compatibility. Through previous updates we have followed the build of the new LAX "Mid-Field" concourse with ShortFinal, from greenfield, two semi-built zones and now the final finished concourse design... impressive it is! Internal fit-out is excellent, with walking animated people, as the SFD LAX scenery now also uses the x-codr LST (living Scenery Technology) plugin, as the original "Ground Traffic" tool has also been removed, so all animations (including new additions) are now under LST. And the recently upgraded Terminal 3 complex is also newly defined in the scenery, in fact all the current LAX layout and changes are now completely up to date with this v2.0 release. There are several new hangars for Delta and United (nee Continental). LST also powers the LAX Automated People Mover, and the full rail system and stations are now available, even animated, and the system goes well external of the airport boundary... ... so it is well visible on the 24L and 24R approaches, and there are more iconic icons noted here now in the same approach paths as well, with the Kia Forum and SoFi Stadium also now positioned in the SFD LAX scenery... ... and the famous "IN'N'OUT BURGER" franchise has also in been getting a lot of recent attention. The LAX scenery also now uses the X-Plane default 3d trees (here winter seasonal), and all the ground textures have been revised and updated for seasonal and effects with PBR reflections, and the normal maps are dynamic with burnt-in ambient occlusion...
