NEWS! - Scenery Upgrade : KLAX - Los Angeles International v3.0 by FunnerFlight

 

 

Funner Flight has released the v3.0 upgrade of their KLAX Los Angeles International Airport. Commonly referred to as LAX, this airport is the primary international airport serving Los Angeles, California and its surrounding metropolitan area. The date of the release v2.0 is noted as 2017, so here is a major update to the scenery and now covers the changes at the airport in the same time period to date including the new West Gate Terminal at the Tom Bradley Int'l.

 

Also the v3.0 LAX scenery is now X-Plane 12 compatible (the X-Plane 11 version is provided as part of of the package) with improved lighting and weather effects. Details of the version 3.0 contains:

• Includes both X-Plane 12 and X-Plane 11 versions.

• LAX landscaped entry mound, Departure Level and Overpass system.
• Custom Southern California trees and bushes, including various kinds of palm trees.
• More complete perimeter scenery for a fuller look.
• Over 15,000 objects.
• New West Gate Terminal at Tom Bradley Int'l
• New Qantas and Delta maintenance hangars
• Improved lighting. 
• Laminar Research Animated Ground Service vehicles 
• Auto Jetways at every ramp (shift+g) (XP12 only)
• Almost 20 sq mi of High-Definition aerial photography: 1 foot (30cm) resolution

The airport holds the record for the world's busiest origin and destination airport.  It is also the only airport to rank among the top five U.S. airports for both passenger and cargo traffic. LAX serves as a major hub for more passenger airlines than any other airport in the United States.

 

I would recommend a strong video card with at least 8Gb of VRAM for this scenery, you can run a 4 GB Video Card as a minimum, but there are a lot of objects to absorb (15,000), and some very large graphic textures.
