NEWS! - Aircraft Updated : Gulfstream 550 v1.11 by AKD Studio

 

 

There has been another very small but significant update to the Gulfstream 550 by AKD Studio's. This is version v1.11.

 

Added has been the option to now load in Simbrief (Performance) data directly into the aircraft. The process is quite easy, and a very big timesaver.

 

First you have to input your Simbrief User ID, found under you SimBrief "Account Settings" Tab. This number is then set on the G550 "Settings" page under "Simbrief USER-ID:"

 

There is a new Icon on the "HOME" page called "Simbrief", clicking on this allows you to download the aircraft data of your currently generated SimBrief Flight Brief, clicking "DOWNLOAD SIMBRIEF DATA"  will then insert the brief route data into the aircraft's system.

 

 

Then you go to the "FUEL" page and then loading in the fuel requirements, again via the "INSERT SIMBRIEF DATA" selection, then SET the data to load it into the aircraft, if required you also do the BOARDING the passengers...

 

 

....   then you press the "READ DATA FROM SIM" selection to load in your "Performance Take Off" data.

 

The process is very quick and easy, but the feature does not fill in the SimBrief route, as the FMS here is the standard default Laminar Research system, I think a custom FMS is coming to the G550, with that aspect I would expect a SimBrief loading of the flightplan as well.

 

There was a huge update only back in February 2023, of which X-PlaneReviews covered here; Aircraft Update Review : Gulfstream 550 v1.10 by AKD Studio so the updates come thick and fast, other changes to v1.11 are listed below.

 

New fonts have been added into the

-Added Simbrief integration in EFB(XP12/XP11)

-Added new fonts avionics(XP12/XP11)

-Added Roll pointer on DU1/DU4(XP12/XP11)

 

Bugs fixes:

-Fixed SASL crash on linux "Can't find font"(XP12/XP11)

-Fixed outside glass camera position(XP12/XP11)

-Fixed Landing gear animation(XP12/XP11)

-Some performance optimization(XP12/XP11)

-Fixed HUD resolution(XP12/XP11)

-Fixed Minor bugs(XP12/XP11)

 

 

You can update to AKD STudio's G550 v1.11 via your account at the X-Plane.OrgStore, or use the Skunkcraft's Updater application.
